A highly-respected international games advisor for over two decades, Darren Hughes serves as bid lead overseeing day-to-day engagement with the IOC and USOPC. Hughes broke into international sport at the 2002 Games as director, human resources planning/operations. Since then he has consulted with over 20 major international events or bids, including nearly every Olympics – summer and winter – since 2002. His broad scope of knowledge on international sport is an asset for the committee in developing its bid for 2030 and 2034.
