About the Salt Lake City-Utah Committee for the Games

On July 24, 2025, Salt Lake City-Utah was awarded the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games by the International Olympic Committee. It marked the culmination of more than a decade of work by state, community, and sport leaders to bring the Winter Games back to Utah. on Feb. 14, 2025, The Organizing Committee for the 2034 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games was named by Utah Governor Spencer Cox and U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee CEO Sarah Hirshland. The organizing committee will provide leadership to energize Utah communities around sport, and to produce an outstanding 2034 Winter Games for athletes and fans that will leave a lasting and living legacy across the state.
