OUR GAMES VISION
“TOGETHER, WE ELEVATE WINTER SPORT, OUR COMMUNITIES AND THE GAMES EXPERIENCE”
2030 or 2034?
We are prepared to host either Games, whichever is in the best interest of the IOC, USOPC, and Utah. However, we prefer 2034 since hosting in 2030 would have a significant marketing overlap with the LA28 Games, reducing the amount of sponsorship revenue available.
BID STRENGTHS
Utah is an ideal host for a future Olympic and Paralympic Games.

- Unified Support & Unmatched Passion! Utah loves the Games. We had a great experience together in 2002 and we look forward to sharing that experience with a new generation of Utahns. Utah loves the Games with polls showing 82% of residents favor hosting a future Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. That passion and support extends to political unity with support across state and local representatives.
- Strong political support. We have unified political support across parties, both at the State and local levels.
- Strong business model. Our Games would not require any State or local taxpayer funding. The funding comes from ticket sales, sponsors, the IOC (broadcast rights and international sponsors).
- Compact Games. All our venues are within a one-hour drive of Salt Lake City, providing the opportunity to experience multiple sport events in the same day.
- All venues are in place. From our great legacy from 2002, all our venues are active and ready to host another Games.
- Expanded infrastructure. A new airport, expanded light rail, and Front Runner, are just a few examples of how we are even more ready to host a future Games.
- Experienced team. We have a team of people who were integral to putting on the Games in 2002, giving us additional confidence in our strong ability to host.
- The best volunteers live in Utah! Our greatest strength in 2002 was our exceptional team of volunteers. People around the world experienced the warmth and hospitality of our volunteers.
- Fiscal Responsibility & Close Proximity. Our Games will not require any state or local taxpayer funding. Our 2002 Legacy is lasting with 100% of exisiting venues vibrant and ready to host again. All our proposed venues are within a one-hour drive of Salt Lake City – great for fans to see multiple events in one day and reducing athlete travel time.
